Marty Cross 2014 is sure to be a great weekend of cyclocross action. We have categories for every ability level from first timers to professional. 

New this year is Chester Township and Bourough citzen's race. It is a one lap race to get a feel for what cyclocross is all about. Any safe working bicycle with appropriate tires is allowed. Must be a resident of Chester Township or Bourough. 

Course Description:

The course has a good amount of elevation change with a run up, a set of barriers and a switchback climb.  A dual sided pit will be about half way through the course. Spectators can view the entire course from the top of the hill making it a great place to watch  the race unfold.

Registration:
Pre-registration will be open on bikereg.com until October 23rd at 9:00pm. There is a $10 late fee for day-of registration.

 Day of Registration and sign-in will be open at 8:00AM and will close 30 min prior to each race.

 A USAC license is required to participate in this race, day-of and annual licenses will be available for purchase at registration. One Day licenses are $10. Please bring cash. USA Cyling annual licenses can also be purchased at the USACyling website. http://www.usacycling.org/ While you are there take a look at the rules and regulations. 

 There is a $10 multi-race discount to register for additional classes.   This must be done with cash on the day of the race. 


Amenities:
Registration will at the top of the hill.

There will be port o johns on site

We will have a hose located by the barn.

 

Call-up Protocol:
Call-ups will only be awarded by promoter discretion. We will  utilize the New Jersey CX cup standings and then registration order. 
Staging will begin 10 minutes prior to each race.

 

Lapped Riders:
Lapped riders will finish on the same lap as the leaders. Riders in danger of being lapped must yield to oncoming racers and are not to interfere with their progress or trail behind them.

 

Technical Pit:
A double sided pit will be marked and available approximately half way through the course. If riders enter the pit, they must make some sort of exchange or mechanical adjustment.

SRAM NRS will in the pit both days. They have everything you might need from wheels to bikes. If you have an issue during the race they will get you fixed up and back out there. Just remember you cannot run backwards or cut the course. 

Results:
Results will be posted at the registration area. Results will be made final 15 minutes after being posted. Podium, awards, and photos will occur roughly a half hour after each race. If you don't stick around for the Poduim you don't get your prize. We have an actual poduim this year and not a milk crate! 

Note:

The course will be open for inspection and warm-up at approximately 7:30am. 

Every racer must have an approved helmet.

 Mountain bikes will be allowed WITHOUT bar ends.

Parking:
On-site parking available - We will have parking signs showing where you can park. Don't park on the main road. There is a gravel lot at the top of the course and another place to park adjacent to the course.Please park where have the designated parking, we don't want people walking across North Road. Allparking will be on the same side of North Road that the course is on.
