Morristown Bicycle Ride

The Morristown Bicyle Ride happens on the last Friday evening of EVERY month and always starts behind the Morristown Town Hall at 6:15 pm.

This ride is fun for ANYONE who can ride a bicycle.  It's only 3.5 miles long and goes at a "coasting" pace.  This is the safest ride you will ever do.  Riding in a "mass" and being surrounded by other cyclists means you are very visible to motorists.  Anyone can do this ride on any bicycle.  The ride is child/family friendly and very peaceful.  Oh, and if that's not enough to get you out, its really, really fun too!!!

Why?
Streets are not just for cars!  Bikes are valid transportation too!  Let's share the road, peacefully and safely.  Wouldn't you like to have bike lanes and/or "Share the Road" signs installed in Morristown?  Come ride and show your support!  This ride has no leader; we are all equal participants.

Bikes, not Banks!
Do you dream of a town where your children can ride their bikes to the playground, or to a friend's house?   Do you dream of a town when you can ride downtown and spend an afternoon shopping from store to store or just to get an ice cream cone?

Our community is in danger -
Each time a new bank opens, our downtown gets duller.  Each new development project that puts cars first, and people-powered transportation last, will forever change Morristown.

We need Community Driven Redevelopment that supports:
- A real downtown that is bike and pedestrian friendly
- A real downtown filled with shops - NOT BANKS

It's time to PUT COMMUNITY FIRST!  We need BIKES - NOT BANKS!
