The 2014 edition of the Lewis Morris Challenge is guaranteed to be a great day of racing and family fun.

Come join Team Marty's as we pre ride the 2014 Lewis Morris Challenge 
MTB race course on Wednesday June 18th from 5pm-8pm (weather 
permitting).  Meet at the Pavilion 5:30pm as the ride goes off at 5:45pm 
sharp.  The format will be 3 laps, 1st lap being at Cat 3 pace (45min), 
2nd lap Cat 2 pace (38min) and 3rd lap Cat1/Pro (30min).  Lap times are 
approximate.  Course maps are available at martysreliable.com.

This year we are going to have a Kids Race. It will be a very short course on the grass. All participants get a prize. Please pre-reg for the kids race. We need to have a good count of how many kids we might have.

 We will be offering a Fat Bike race  Fat bikes will have tires wider then 3.5 inches. There are no series points in this class and its open to anyone. 

 

Course Description:

                Approximately 6 mile laps with hilly flowing single-track. 

 

Start/Finish Location:

                Near the registration pavilion adjacent to Sunrise Lake

 

Distance:

                Cat 3 - 7 miles

                Cat 2 – 14 miles

                Pro/Cat 1 – 21 miles

 

Schedule:

                7:45 – Registration Opens

                9:00 – Cat 3 Race Start

                10:00 – Cat 1/Pro Race Start

                10:30 – Kids Race Start

                11:00 – Cat 3 podium/awards

                12:00 – Cat 2 Race Start

                12:45 – Cat1/Pro podium/awards

                2:30 – Cat 2 awards/podium

 

Results:               

Results will be posted as soon as we can. We will announce when they are posted. There is a 15 minute protest period for any issues. Please check your results before your leave.

 

Awards:

                Medals for the top 3 in each class

                Cash for top 3 in Cat 1 classes & Women’s Pro/Open

                Cash for top 5 in  Men’s Pro/Open

 

Registration:

                Located under the Pavilion. Follow signs from Sunrise Lake parking lot.

                $10 dollar fee for day of registration. Register at bikereg.com and save some money.

                All entries are final. There will be no refunds.

USA Cycling licenses are required for this race. One-Day licenses are available for $10 at registration. One-Day licenses are only available for cat 3 and cat 2 racers.

 

Directions:

Lewis Morris Park is located on Rt 24. We will have signs directing people to the Sunrise Lake parking lot. This address should take you there.
