Specialized's Rockhopper 29er opens up a whole new world of mountain biking adventure. Its light, agile A1 butted-aluminum frame teams up with a plush, 100mm SR SunTour suspension fork and big 29-inch wheels to sail over tricky terrain and keep you pedaling strong. Plus, the Rockhopper boasts other trail-ready components like a 27-speed Shimano drivetrain, powerful Tektro hydraulic discs and grippy Specialized tires. This bike is the best hard tail bike I have ever ridden, the components are magnificent, and the bike itself handles very smooth.

    Comments:

I'm a true beginner with an MX backround. Getting a Mountain Bike was a compromise. I did quite a bit of research because I didn't want to drop $2k on my first venture, yet didn't want something I'd grow out of in 2 months. This fit the bill perfectly. Bought it Saturday, took it out today. Suspension was responsive and the 29" wheels had no issue going over bigger rocks. My only complaint is the pedals. I recommend getting pedals right away. My feet kept slipping on the stock pedals
